About Dr Farouk Karhani
Dr Farouk Karhani is an Australian born and trained senior specialist General Practitioner. He graduated from the University of Western Sydney in 2012 and completed his internship and residency in the Bankstown/Campbelltown hospital network. Along the way he was awarded intern of the year and was placed on the Dean merit list.
Following residency, he completed a senior residency year at the Westmead Children's hospital and completed a Master's of Medicine through the University of Sydney with a focus in paediatrics.
Dr Farouk Karhani chose General Practice because he loves all aspects of medicine and building long term rapport with his patients. He completed his Registrar training in North West NSW spending time in Gunnedah and Tamworth.
Since obtaining his Fellowship papers, he worked in both metropolitan Sydney and rurally working with some of the most disenfranchised patients. Being an RACGP supervisor, he is also actively engaged in teaching the future generation of doctors.
He has a keen interest in paediatrics, ADHD diagnosis and management, skin procedures and cosmetic injectables.
On the weekend you can catch Dr Farouk Karhani playing basketball, studying or hanging out with his family.
